Interview with SportBak, brand new partner with which WSB aims to promote a future of indoor and outdoor connected football.
1) Why did you start SportBak?
We started SportBak and this project to make performances tools accessible, since they are more often reserved for professionals. And to make them accessible to team sports lovers. The goal is to recover all relevant indicators as players and not just physical indicators and share them with the player and sports educators.
2) Tell us about the innovative features of FutBak: how does it help club owners and players?
We are the only ones to quantify the players’ technique with the different indicators such as the number of duels and the percentage of ball possession. Everything that players and educators are looking for and want to know about their performance. We are offering a whole new experience to the players but also to the owners of the complexes as well as football clubs. Players have access to an experience that is complementary to classic matches. Their results are available just after their performance on the desk but also on the application. As for the owners, they differ from the other complexes because this tool is not offered anywhere else and they have a tool that players like. Which brings them back people who want to test it and adopt it. Also, when complexes organize championships and tournaments, our tool helps them to manage their customer relations.
3) How does it work and why is it different from similar products?
How does it work? It’s simple: we propose a connected Ulhsport ball (official League 1 ball, available in size 4 or Size 5) with an ankle brace also connected which transmits all game events during the match. All broadcast on a 43″ touch panel. The service is unique and independent, including installation of equipment and support for complex owners in using the solution. Players equip themselves alone at the beginning of the game and rest their sensor at the end of the game. At the end of the game, the players find each other in front of the desk, time to take a break and exchange ideas in a fun way by comparing their performance statistics. They can also consult their statistics on their phone via the Futbak application on their space.
4) Who is using it and how?
The users of the solution are both indoor and outdoor football players. From novice to professional, from indoor to outdoor player, everyone can use it. By getting the ankle strap, they get their statistics on the application.
5) Why is the partnership with WSB important?
This partnership with WSB is important because they are part of the project and have supported us in it. We have the same strategic vision for the global development of our solution. WSB has a very good knowledge of the global market, which is totally in line with us.
6) How do you see the future of Futbak?
In SportBak we see Futbak as the number one reference in indoor and outdoor connected football and become the reference in terms of a database of world players, having the most popular tools used in the world for connected sport. Finally, we see the Futbak score becoming the known reference for all actors in the sport, whether it is players, coaches, recruiters or parents.
